We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, company name, website URL, booking details, enquiry details, advertising account context, project information and messages you send.
If you request the example Merchant Center audit, we collect the email address you provide and any optional name or website details. This information is used to provide access to the example, understand interest in the service and respond if your request includes relevant business context. It does not automatically add you to a newsletter or ongoing marketing list.
When you visit the website, we may also collect technical and usage information such as pages visited, button clicks, referral source, campaign parameters, Google click identifiers such as GCLID, GBRAID or WBRAID, approximate location, browser or device information and cookie choices.
How we use information
- To provide a requested example, answer enquiries and schedule calls.
- To assess whether Semstar can help with an advertising or Merchant Center issue.
- To deliver agreed marketing, advertising, tracking, audit or consulting services.
- To measure website and campaign performance where consent is required and given.
- To improve the website, services, reporting and user experience.
- To maintain business records, comply with legal obligations and protect legitimate business interests.

Legal basis
Depending on the context, we process personal data to respond to your request, take steps before entering a contract, perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate business interests or act on consent for optional analytics and advertising cookies.
Service providers
We may share information with trusted providers where needed to operate the website and business. These may include website hosting providers, Google, OpenAI, Calendly, email providers, analytics and advertising platforms, payment providers where relevant and professional advisers. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the Netherlands, EEA, UK or Switzerland. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections, data processing terms or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Analytics and advertising data follow the retention settings of the relevant platforms.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
